My name is Kathryn Gearhart and I am a certified running coach, personal trainer, and sports nutrition coach. I began my running journey at a young age, running 10k road races when I was in middle school. I fell in love with the sport and eventually went on to run cross-country and track in high school and later at the Division 1 level at the University of Maryland. When my collegiate career was unfortunately cut short due to the pandemic, I was left unsatisfied and eager to chase some big goals. I decided to jump right in and train for my first marathon, which was a life changing experience. I continue to find joy in training for longer road races, working toward my own athletic dreams.
The Dish on Running aims to provide runners and athletes of all levels with personalized run, nutrition, and strength coaching for individuals and groups training for a race, upcoming sports season, or general fitness. I approach training from a perspective of keeping it fun, sustainable, and approachable for all fitness levels to help people reach their goals while providing a positive overall experience.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland as well as multiple certifications including:
I am excited to share my expertise and passion for the sport. I hope to help runners learn to love running while working toward their goals.
